Step-by-Step Instructions
Hints and Tips:
- Face masks and gloves are recommended when working with resin. Work in a well-ventilated area. If the product gets on skin clean with warm water and soap.
- Cured pieces (pieces that are dried and hardened) are not dishwasher, microwave oven or conventional oven safe. Hand wash only.
- Measuring cups are reusable. Wipe out excess and wash with warm water and soap. Stir sticks can be used multiple times by wiping clean after each use.
- Avoid manipulating the resin after 30 minutes.
- Practice your designs on posterboard or cardboard first before tackling your final project. There is plenty of paint to do so.
2. Add Resin Colorant: Add small amounts of resin colorant to each cup and stir. Continue to add more colorant until the colored resin is completely opaque.
3. Pour Resin: Pour each resin color onto the wood panel in any desired order. Get creative! Some popular design ideas include doing stripes or chevron (or V) pattern. You could even make a ocean one using the pink resin for the sand, the blues for the ocean, and the white for the waves breaking on the shore!
4. Tilt the Panel: Tilt the panel back and forth to spread the resin and manipulate the design.
5. Add Glitter: Sprinkle glitter onto the finished design. Let the resin cure for 24 hours.
